Mobile Engagement in the Fashion Industry
In order to remain relevant, the fashion industry must jump on the bandwagon and offer their products through mobile devices. Who has time to sit in front of a computer to purchase the latest trend? After all, fashion is part of a fast pace environment and its consumers are always on the run. So it would only make sense for retailers, like All Saints, to offer their hipster looks on a mobile site.
The question is, how convenient is the retailer’s mobile site? All Saints website and mobile site seem pretty similar at first glance, but once you try to navigate the sites, you will notice some differences. The most obvious difference from All Saints website and mobile site are the images. I think that the website images are more conservative and are meant to appeal to a larger audience. The mobile site’s images are edgy and meant for the fashion forward individual. The mobile fashionista wants to buy the latest slim cut jeans during their break from school or work, they do not want to wait until they get access to a computer.
One of the most inconvenient differences of All Saints’ website and mobile site is the fact that one must scroll down on the mobile site to select what gender of clothes one would like to shop for. Then instead of taking you to the preferred gender, you must select accessories, shirts, denim, shoes… I don’t know about you, but I just want to see it all! If it were similar to the website, I would to see men’s jeans, leathers, and coats. Maybe I was not looking to purchase a new coat but when given the option, why not?!
On the plus side, the All Saints website and mobile site, display all of their social media sites, which will keep you connected with the brand. Also, the mobile site, offers the option of “FULL SITE” view, if you prefer. If you are still worried about shopping through your cellphone, the All Saints mobile device, states “This work is PROTECTED.” By the way, the purchasing processes is equally as easy on their website and mobile site.
So take a moment, digest all of this information, and decided if online shopping is right for you. If the answer is YES, then come onboard and starts typing your credit card account number instead of swiping it… Let the self-induldence begin!
